Europe to the States by ship...
Cheaper than business class air fare. The Queen Mary 2 travels the Atlantic for 6 days
and includes all accomodation and food. Eating on the QM is like eating in a 5 star rated
restuarant. The choice is incredible. When you think for food and a cabin for 6 days and
nights it becomes very inexpensive, when you can travel for around 800 pounds sterling and
that icludes a free return flight.
Usually the ship sails about once a month each way and when I travelled on the QE11 we
went past the Statue of Liberty.
Now they are going to start using the Brooklyn Docks instead of Manhattan Island
Travelling from the same docks that Titanic set out from you cross rather than cruise
because a lot of passengers use it as a form of transport, thereby missing the airports
and the flying part!
On the morning you arrive in New York, get an early call around 5 ish (see your
stewards for more info) so you can take in the full sights and sounds of New York.
A highly recommended crossing from one who has been there.
